Update to “The Fake Hate Crime You Haven't Heard About”

February’s issue of AFL News reported on White Bear Lake High School and Wayne Kazmierczak, the superintendent who apologized to parents for a calling a racial hoax a “hoax” in which a white student was suspected—and then cleared by the FBI—of sending hateful messages to a black student, who apparently created the account that sent the messages.
As a result of an “equity audit,” Kazmierczak has also announced that White Bear Lake Areas Schools (WBLAS) will no longer assign failing grades, or “Fs,” to students for incomplete work. Citing Kazmierczak’s and WBLAS’s philosophy that “grades should be a measure of what a student knows and has mastered in a given course” the district has decided “grading should not be a behavior punishment and should not be a measure of how well a student can survive stress at home.”
Students with attendance or late assignment issues will be given another chance to “retake or revise quizzes, papers and projects” instead. “School leaders also explained that by eliminated [sic] grades under 50 percent, a student who may have passed two assignments but has an “incomplete” for the third, would still have a passing grade instead of failing.”

Remembering Defunct “Justice” Movements
“Anti-racist” mathematics, Kindergarten through Third Grade Gender Identity curricula, Shut Down STEM, so-called “indigenous” electrical wiring handbooks, getting rid of tests and grades in schools to erase “disparities”—wokeness is the Satanic Panic of our time. But depressing as these current hysterias are, let’s hope they are as transitory as yesterday’s pre-woke insane ideas!

(You might not remember, because both the WHO and the CDC have now scrubbed that shocking display of—sexism? No, gender binary—from their websites.)

Music Review - The Sound of Atheism

While American Heavy Metal band Manowar's 1984 album Sign of the Hammer covers a range of topics, the seven minute closing track “Guyana (Cult of the Damned)” is a powerful musical reminder of what can happen when reason and evidence based thinking are brainwashed away from a naive group of people. The song retells the story of the Jonestown massacre of 1978, in which 918 people died during a mass murder-suicide. It was the grotesque end to the Peoples Temple cult led by Jim Jones. The majority of the victims died from cyanide poisoning and many of them left all of their financial assets to the “Communist Party of the USSR” at Jim Jones' command. The song is slow, plodding, and haunting, as vocalist Eric Adams wails a warning to all the lost souls that seek to find meaning within a dangerous cult.
